Refunds and cancellation

This page restates section 8 of the Terms of Service, which governs if the two ever disagree.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from Account in the dashboard. No notice period, no email to write, nobody to persuade.

Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep full access until then, and you are not charged again.

Refunds

Payments are not refundable. That includes:

We offer a 14-day free trial with no card precisely so that nobody has to buy in order to find out whether this works for them. Use it. By the time you pay, you have already seen what you are paying for.

Where the law gives you a right we cannot remove

Consumers in the EU, EEA, Switzerland and the UK have a statutory right to withdraw from a contract for digital services within 14 days. Nothing here removes that right where it applies.

That right ends once you have asked for the service to begin immediately and acknowledged that starting it ends the right. Subscribing to Stream-Cut gives you access straight away, which is a request for the service to begin, and we treat it as one.

How to request a refund

Paddle is the Merchant of Record for every payment, which means your contract for the transaction is with Paddle and your receipt comes from them. Refund requests go to Paddle, not to us.

Use the link on your Paddle receipt, or contact Paddle directly. Paddle's own refund policy applies alongside these terms, and Paddle may issue a refund at its own discretion — for a billing error, suspected fraud, or to avoid a chargeback — regardless of what this page says. We cannot prevent that, and we do not pretend otherwise.

If something is actually broken

This policy is about buyer's remorse, not about faults. If the service does not do what it says, write to [email protected] and tell us what went wrong. We would rather fix it than argue about a month's fee.

Failed payments

If a payment fails we do not delete anything immediately. Your account keeps a grace window in which to fix the card, and your recordings and clips remain where they are. What stops is the ability to start new sessions and upload new recordings — not access to work you have already done.
